Low growing plant which belongs to the ginger family. The broad ovate leaves can reach up to 15cm long. Leaves are velvety green with dark purplish strokes. Small lavender flowers appear in summer. Keep moist in summer and dry in winter.
Kaempferia’s become dormant in winter therefore watering should be with held.
